Facilities & Services
Diabetes Mellitus: Department offers out-door and in-door services. A Diabetes Teaching Nurse educates each patient individually regarding self-care skills. Services of Nutritionists are also available.
This department, in collaboration with the biochemistry colleagues, pioneered the use of glycated hemoglobin in monitoring control of diabetes. Services of leading cardiologists, interventional radiologists, ophthalmologist, neurologists and nephrologists are available to manage multiple complications of diabetes.
Childhood diabetes and gestational diabetes are treated in collaboration with Pediatricians and gynecologists.
Thyroid disease
Thyroid hormone assays, antibody estimation, thyroid scan, ultrasound and fine needle aspirations are well set for routine use.
Reproductive Endocrinology and infertility
Pediatric Endocrinology
This department advises on growth and inherited endocrine disorders in children. It works in collaboration with the department of Pediatrics.
Osteoporosis
As osteoporosis afflicts a vast majority of elderly population we have facilities to evaluate bone mineral density and undertake full treatment of osteoporosis. It works in collaboration with the department of Orthopaedics.
